Margaret Malandruccolo grew up in a little automotive town in Canada, developing a fondness for cars, rust and scrap metal.  Her Italian immigrant parents instilled in her a love for photography, travel, and adventure. 

In the mid-90s, after graduating film school and a few years slaving away as a film industry grunt, Margaret hit the commercial scene to launch herself as an accomplished photographer, establishing such clients as General Motors, Puma Sportswear, Kangol Headwear and Molson Beer.

Not satisfied with resting on her laurels, Margaret drove into Los Angeles for a life change. There were the obligatory clock-watching stints and time spent devouring peanut butter sandwiches, but soon her sacrifices and 10 years of workaholic stress paid off in working artists such as Crystal Method, DJ Tiesto, Colm Wilkinson, and Dwight Yoakam, directing numerous #1 videos throughout the U.S., Europe and Canada.

Now, having moved back east to New York City, Margaret furthers her commercial work in advertising and entertainment while embarking upon more film projects.

She is a director and photographer that is known for her distinctive, emotional vision and lush cinematic imagery. On the strength of her modest beginnings, Margaret climbed the ranks through photography, camera assisting, editing and cinematography. She has directed over 50 music videos, won two Juno Awards and two CCMA Awards among her numerous nominations. She returns over and over to her still photography roots, grounding herself in a focused chaos.

She continually challenges her mere survival by endlessly pursuing creative projects and dreaming of the day she’ll run away to Italy.
